Depending on who you talk to, about 14% of the total US population is made up by Hispanics. The great majority of this segment speaks Spanish. Some speak both Spanish and English. Over the next two decades, Hispanic USA reports, an additional 12.4 million Spanish speakers will integrate themselves into the fabric of the United States economy. Organizations can either ignore this segment whose purchasing power continues to increase, or embrace it. And to embrace it, organizations must have core competencies to communicate effectively and to develop business and opportunities with Hispanics.
